Incredible flavors, great variety of donuts, bagels, house made cream cheeses. Lots of coffee options. The staff is absolutely amazing, the atmosphere is inviting. super clean spot following all COVID regulations. A must visit. Save room for the next door sister business Hop + Grind, greatest burgers and fries this side of the country!!

The place is has a really cool artistic vibe, but the workers are extremely slow (it took me 30 to get two beagles,) and they have way too many people in there for the sizes of the building. If you want a nice beagles shop with creative combinations, go to beagle caboose in kittery. It's not worth going here.

Great thought- came here weeks ago and got delicious coffee and donuts only to be disappointed by my breakfast sandwich that had egg so undercooked I didn’t finish it- decided then it needed time to settle in and work out it’s kinks. Today I brought a sandwich back because my girlfriends egg was dripping uncooked egg white, and had the girl at the counter say “I don’t think it is, but uh yeah sure I’ll make a new one for you”. As a food service worker myself i was pretty turned off to be told that my visibly uncooked egg wasnt, but I then stood at the end of the counter and watched a the girl put a new egg and bagel into a glorified microwave normally reserved for Dunkin’ Donuts and then listened to all 3-4 girls moan about it

We were the first patrons through the door at a very soft opening. We had the same experience at their sister restaurant Hop and Grind down the street. It's fair to say if you like choices for your morning coffee, pastry or breakfast sandwiche you will want ro visit rise+grind. The wall art is outrageous just like the food and drink choices. Lots of attention to details including COVID-19 prevention. Great new Durham breakfast choice..
