I've been going to Mei Wei in Durham for years and for the most part the food is delicious and not too expensive, yet these past few years I've seen the quality of service and the quality of the food go down. I think a lot of the meats are reheated or microwaved, sometimes its completely inedible and you have to eat around the hard parts (which isn't fun when you're eating chicken.) The staff do their job but they aren't anywhere neat as polite as they used to be and the way they treat asian customers vs. locals is off-putting.

I get food here a lot and I love it! My favorite is scallion pancakes and the house fried rice. I recommend to eat here!

Compared to other Asian restaurants nearby Mei Wei has better prices and the food is better. I always have a good experience with the service and food.

This restaurant has a variety of good food. I would say that although not every dish are good. But there are a couple which is DELICIOUS.nnFor sushi, crazy angel and dragon roll are my favorite.nFor spicy authentic Chinese food, Dry Pot Beef and Twice cook pork are my favorite.nFor non spicy authentic Chinese food, black pepper chicken/beef and cumin lamb are so.... good.nnIf you need a budget meal, you can try their combination platters, dinner box or over rice. But I do like to order a full size dish with rice, because the portion are huge.
