Don’t buy cars from this dealer. I bought a 2011 Ford Taurus for a good price but after I already paid him full price in cash, he told me that it needed a repair so I couldn’t drive it off the lot. It then took him a week to do the repair for me to be able to pick it up. After less than a month of driving it, it started leaking power steering fluid. I called back the man that sold me the car and he said he couldn’t do the repair. So even though he just sold me the car, he was unable to fix the problems I had with it less than four weeks after buying it. I got it repaired at another repair shop, but after four days, another problem came up. Apparently my entire steering rack has to be replaced costing me almost 1000 dollars in repairs just over a month after the purchase of the car. I was played and the owner screwed me over by selling me a car not that needed repairs. Terrible experience do not recommend this place to anyone.

John is a kind and easy going person and his Madbury Motors dealership has a great selection of used Volvos, along with quite a few other cars. My wife and I bought a 2013 XC90 from him recently at a very fair price. It came with a warranty that wasn't even needed because, before we took possession of the car, he had the fantastic Volvo mechanic he works closely with inspect the car, an issue was found, and John repaired it at his cost. We have since used that excellent mechanic to do routine maintenance on the XC90 and believe we have a car that won't need anything other than oil changes and tire rotations for a couple of years. It seems quite likely to serve us well for an additional 100,000 plus miles.

Bought a land cruiser here about two years ago. Had intense frame rot, and was unable to pass inspection. He basically sold us an un-drivable vehicle

I've been driving by, meaning to stop, for months. A lot of Minis and Volvo's. On a short visit, it appears that the view at 50mph from the road is better than close up.
