Googie's Sandwich Shoppe

Not a fan. Might as well just walk a couple of blocks to Moe's; at least they're friendly.

Today was my first visit to Googies and it was an excellent experience.nnThe sandwiches and baked goods were delicious.nnThe sandwiches are crafted with very fresh ingredients and the level of customer service is second to none.nnIt is obvious the owners take pride in their business and the atmosphere is very laid back and customer focused.nnWe will be sure to return for more sandwiches and cookies.

One of the best sub shops in the area. Fast, convenient and affordable! Always suggest my personal favorite, the Gobbler, but have never had a bad sub from them! If you’re looking for a quick lunch that’ll fill you up without breaking the bank, hit Googie’s!

I can't say enough about the wonderful couple who own this shop!! I called at 11:30 Saturday morning with a large order and asked to have it delivered the same day. No problem was his answer, he called his wife and they made it happen! Thank you so much!

I have been several times over the past few years and I have never been disappointed with any of my orders. I have had cold and hot sandwiches and enjoyed eating them. I have not had any of the ice-cream so I have no opinion. I think they are connected to the market next door. Good luck finding a place to park near by. You can eat there or take a short walk to Presscot Park and enjoy the view. I like the street veiw because I have memories of how Portsmouth has transformed over the decades. Googie's occupies the old State Street Warehouse location.nUpdate: June 2019; I had the Ragin' Cajun roast beef sandwich and a turkey wrap. Both were good. But when I went to use my Entertainment coupon, I was given some grief that they were not informed Entertainment went to online. It is not my fault and I am not sure I received my coupon's full value.nI am deducting a ud83cudf1f for that.
