I own a fleet of 13 vehicles, Broken Wrench has worked on 9 of them. I have been very pleased with my experiences at Broken Wrench until this point.nnI brought in a diesel cargo van for a derate issue. Brian had suggested that it was a bad DPF sensor, so I told him to go ahead and replace it. That was back in September of 2019. The issue continued so he then suggested that it was the filter itself, so we told them to replace that in October of 2019. The same issue continued, so we brought it back. After a couple months of them having the van and multiple calls, Brian tells me that the engine needs to be replaced and that he bought a new engine for the van. (He absorbs the cost of the engine) For over a year, and again multiple calls, we just got it back. (It is now December 2020) with a new engine, the issue still persisted, literally, the new engine changed nothing, still had the derate issue.nnNow both frustrated I tell him I’m bringing it to TMS diesel, 3 days later they tell me it is fixed with a $500.00 invoice. I send invoice to Brian to see if he’d like to share the cost since I paid thousands of dollars to fix what ended up costing $500.00. He declined. To me, that shows the character of Broken Wrench and I will be finding a new mechanic. I am thankful for the new engine, but that was not the issue.
