River Meadow Campground

Absolutely one of, if not the best campground in the state! Owners are amazing and make sure your experience is above expectations! Sites are great size (even for our gigantic 42’ 5th wheel). Garden areas are well maintained. People are here enjoying the gorgeous scenery, kayaking, ATV trails, clean pools, CT river banks, fishing and even relaxing. Happy to say it’s not a “party fest”. Quiet hours are observed and people are generally friendly, quiet and respectful. ONE thing that is missing! A fenced dog park for off leash play!!!!!! Pups need to get some energy out and there are some areas that would make great park spots!!!

My husband and I are riding our bikes across the United States and tent camped at River Meadow campground, Haverhill, NH. Alvin, the owner, was an amazing host and willing to accomodate us. It started raining and he offered up his pavilion for us to sleep under, which we did.. the rest rooms and showers were very clean and nicely presented. The grounds were immaculate and it's right on the river. Highly recommended.

Haven't camped there as of yet, but have family that has and it is a very nice place. Wasn't happy when I was visiting my family there two weeks ago and we went to the office to ask about three sites on the river and were told there wouldn't be any availability until 2023 for river sites. Then I was talking with one of my other sisters and she told me she just booked three river sites together for Columbus day weekend. Not very good business ud83dude15
