Pemi River Campground

Stayed here in early August during a heat-wave. River was too low for tubing but much appreciated for swimming. Site were large and easy to pull through. Great sites on the river but prefer the full hook-ups. Most the staff was pleasant and helpful. another camper even offered me a ride to my site when I was carrying my propane tank.nIf there was one con it was the overzealous Security guard. Had a screaming fit after he cut off my son in his golf-cart for driving too fast. How fast could he be going to get cut-off by a 10mph cart? Turned what should have been a simple warning to a major affair.

Excellent location. Pitched my tent 3' from the river. Great scenery. Sites closer to the beach have 0 privacy. Split rail fences between sites means you'll be seeing and hearing alot of your neighbors. Despite this I'll be back, 1 of only 2 campgrounds I've ever been to where you can setup this close to the water.nnGolf course across the river starts mowing at 8am sharp.

Pemi River Campground was great. Cleanest bathroom's I've ever encountered while camping. My only advice would be to book in advance to get a site away from the highway. Staff was friendly, we will be booking next year for sure!

We really enjoyed our camping trip here, kids had lots of fun....bathrooms were very clean that's a plus right there!! The grounds were kept nice and clean, everyone was quiet by 10pm . we had a duck visit us everyday we loved it! camped right on the river it was nice to wake up and see the view every morning. the only thing is you can hear highway but it's not that bad. would I go again? yes! I don't know why there are many complaints on reviews we never had any issues, maybe the campers were loud at late hours and had to be spoken to? we went for 3 nights and not one issue.

Clean friendly and safe. Security does a great job keeping it under control
