This is a nice decent ly challenging bike that most people could do on a day If you bring two cars it's easiest because you can have one in each end of the loop without having to do the long walk on the road overall has some great views some nice wildlife time be seen and contained the downside is the road getting into it is a true washboard and ideally you should be coming in a large or higher ground clearance nice tire vehicle because in the small hatchback I have it was shaky riding and that's going slow if the road was a little better whether it was just maintain better or graded more often than yeah I probably would have given it five stars but as someone who lives in New Hampshire I know they do created that way because of when they're maintaining it for snowmobilings which gets the same tracks embedded into the ground that you see on the machines they used to smooth that surface which for a small passenger car becomes a hindrance at the very least so if you have anything hang in your car it's going to shake loose I had CDs follow all over me from my visor which normally isn't an issue at even my own dirt road overall if your vehicle can handle it and you don't mind the drive I would definitely suggest taking the trip even if you don't have two vehicles with you it's a nice time in nature particularly in an area that's really untouched you're not going to hear any traffic or anything like that like you do at some locations you are really truly one with nature while you're out on the site and it's nice it's also far enough off the beaten path where even on a weekend it's not crowded where something like Lafayette or the flume is going to be packed this on the other hand might have 10 cars at max on a busy weekend not one end and one or two at the other end so that's a big selling point too overall make the trip

First and foremost beware of this road It is treacherous for your average car a real washboard but that being said the hike is very nice a little challenging and when you do make it to the dome great views myself the last time I went managed to see some very nice foul including pheasant and a quail So all things considered I would say definitely go if you can get up there It is a long way from most anything so make sure to pack snacks drinks even for the ride back but overall if you have the time make the hike because even on the weekend it's usually not very busy I'm like places like the flume

Been up several times with childhood friend and sometimes hiking bud. Both trails are totally awesome and nicely maintained. The last third is the best part of this great hike.not a 4000 footer, but the same beautiful views.
