Beautiful, secluded, nice little camping spot provided you follow the rules and be safe and aware. Many stories have been told about this place

Many different ways to get here (some not very well traveled but very fun nonetheless!) This is definitely a special place, very much so. ♡ So much more I could say but prefer to keep this a hidden jem to await those brave enough to search for it ;) lol

Definitely a good hike getting up there. Not much for views, as the tree line doesn't recede. Long trail that circles the pond and it's small neighbor. The trail has connections that go to neighborhoods off Surry Rd. and back down to highway 12. Some areas of the trail coming from Surry mountain lake are running water. Plenty of wildlife such as salamanders, birds, and mosquitoes. If you mountain bike, be sure to do a pre-check and disc brakes are good.

Lilly pond is a good place to visit for fall colors. There are other attractions around lily Pond.

Way out in the middle of nowhere.
