Kilburn Pond Trailhead, Pisgah State Park

Wonderful hike. Well marked trails. The woods are beautiful.

Miles of trails - some well trodden others almost hidden - excellent forest walking with some views and ponds.

Rolling hill hike through a somewhat rugged forest area. Trails were evident and marked. Lake to be found after about a mile. Somewhat tough going in winter months but easily managed during the summer. Dogs are allowed.

Plowed parking lot. Good signage at the trailhead. The trails were well marked and easy to follow. Microspikes were a necessity at this time of year since there was a lot of ice on the trail. Overall a pleasant hike and very quiet.
