Eastern Slope Camping Area

Great camping experience. Was able to book last minute over the phone during the busy Fall season. I stayed at site 4 in a tent and it had a wonderful view of the fall foliage and just steps away to the beach and river. The site has electric and water and plenty of trees for shade/rain cover. The bathrooms were clean and quiet hours were observed. The owners are adhering to all state covid guidelines and felt very safe. Additionally, they have kayaks for rent and they were able to drive us to the river drop off and the 7 mile trail ends right on the beach at the campground.

Horrible customer service. We booked a few kayaks and shuttles before being told how low the river was and how guests were having to pull their boats down the river. After deciding that was not going to be enjoyable we were informed we could only get half of our money refunded. What a horrible policy. We were not informed of this while booking and no mention of the poor river depths. I could understand if this was peak season or a small service fee but half?nAfter a decade of using this place for our annual kayak trip we and ALL our friends will be using a different company. Upon reading other reviews sounds as if I’m not alone with my disappointment. We shall be taking our business to one of the many other companies.nBye Felicia

I've been coming here with my 2 kids for the last 9 years and I've always had a wonderful time. The owners and staff have never been anything less then wonderful and kind. I recommend this place to everyone. Beautiful grounds and two wonderful beaches.nnYeah, sometimes people get loud at night but the staff are quick to respond.nnLOOKING FORWARD TO NEXT YEAR AND I HAVEN'T EVEN FINISHED THIS YEAR'S TRIP. Easy river access .

Good campground. Will go back. My only issues are the lack of a kids playground (just a few swings) and the “recreation center” is straight up scary. A few games from the 80s.
