The Saco River flooded in 2017 and the owner/manager did not seem worried when they should have been. Despite what is on facebook for this campground- the owner DID NOT WARN ANYONE!! I went and warned the campground owner at 10pm. I had the campsite closest to the river and could clearly see it rising. I tried to warn a few of my campsite neighbors behind me, only one listened and packed up before the water flooded out the campground. By midnight half the campground was underwater and many people lost their tents, supplies and a few almost lost their vehicles to the rising waters. There was no refund or apology from the campground owner and before the weather even turned- I had no privacy on my beach front campsite- people kept crowding me- like this is my space that I payed for- there is plenty of other beach space to use. I will NEVER stay here again!! I do not recommend this campground- there are plenty of others much better and this one is also not kid friendly.

We stayed for a weekend in August 2020. The campground has a great location, right on the Saco river and close to Conway and all the attractions in that area. I believe all the sites have full hookups. That being said they only have one bathhouse, and a lot of people tent camp there. The sites were smaller then we’re used to, I felt bad for the tenters on the site next to us as we parked our camper 10 feet away from their tent. There are street lights in the campground as well, which was a complaint that my daughter had, it was hard for her to fall asleep with all that light. We probably won’t go back just because I felt the sites were too small and crowded together.

I love the people who complain about sand (it is called the BEACH camping area for a reason) and about screaming kids (is is a family campground) or no cable (you're camping!). This campground is exactly as listed. It is small, low-key, not tolerant of loud parties. If you just want to relax, spend time playing with your kids, enjoy the Saco and the town then this is for you. If you want to party all night or ship your kids off to planned activities then you'll have to find another place. This will be my 31st year camping here. I've been through 3 ownerships. Tom and Marilyn have really brought this campground back after the last owner had medical issues and his kids did their best keeping it going. My family loves going here. Even my young adult children can't wait for the yearly camping trip to the Beach Camping Area.

Love the tall pines and the river access. What a beautiful family and dog friendly camp ground. Well maintained and clean. Very close to restaurants and shopping and right on the Saco river for tubing, kayaking, canoeing, and swimming. Everyone was polite and courteous to others. Highly recommend!

God forbid you leave your plot and enjoy the river here. After staying here for 2 nights my girlfriend and I went to take a dip in the river and parked our car for about an hour and a half in an unused spot. This is before our checkout time and they have on record my license plate, make and model of my car from check-in.nnWe come back out of the river to find my car surrounded by 3 service vehicles and a picnic basket... as well as a deflated rear tire. The owner comes over to me yelling at me about where my camping pass is. It fell on the center console so I reach and grab it to show him and spent the next 45 minutes waiting for him and his wife, who again.... admitted us and our car, to come back with an air canister to fill back up my.tire.nnThe owner denied letting out the air at first, and went on about how people have come to steal from his property before. He went on to later admit he did it himself and put all the vehicles there, never once checking in the river to see that we were 50 feet away this whole time, or check to see what vehicles were registered.nnAll said and done the plots were great, a decent campground all around, but never coming back again because of this treatment. Also heard other varied complaints about the owner from nearby campers as I waited for him to come reinflate my tire and move his trucks.
