Built 1825, standing directly across from Gilmanton Academy & the Gilmantom Community Church to this day, is the childhood home of Herman Webster Mudgett, known to the world as Americas first serial killer, H.H. Holmes.nMany people even believe Holmes was also the white chapel killer, Jack The Ripper
This is a privately owned residence. I used to live up the road a bit. I watched the owners start their renovations and they have done a wonderful job. Herman's parents and brother are buried in the Gilmanton cemetery, not the one by the house.
I was outside that home strictly to watch a parade never been in
