Chadron State Park was wonderful. We were headed to Estes Park but couldn't go there because of the fires. This park was a great alternative! Very few people there. The park staff was great. They let us stay an extra day because of the snow so we didn't have to travel thru the storm. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful state park connected with trail access to the Nebraska National Forest. We visited Chadron and hiked the Black Hills Overlook Trail through Chadron and the National Forest. The area is beautiful and when we visited in October the park was empty. There's a pool, tennis courts, horse stables, cabins, and a few miles of hiking trails. The trails are not well marked and there isn't a lot of information on the trails and national forest access online. If you're planning on hiking the park, plan on spending about 3-4 hours on the trek.

Clean comfortable cabins. Beautiful wilderness areas. Hiking trails to satisfy all levels of hikers. Better book extra nights or you'll wish you had

What a great place! Clean, quiet, expansive, lots of trees, tons of activities! We had such a nice time there and can’t wait to go back! The swimming pool was fantastic, and the pond was a lot of fun to fish in. Trees and wildlife are beautiful and lots of trails to hike on. Great job, Nebraska Parks and Wildlife!!!

Really friendly and flexible staff. We were about the only ones in the campground. Nice scenic drive and trails. Very well kept and clean park.
