Maple Creek Recreation Area

There are 50 electrical campsites on two levels. Great views of the lake and countryside. Very nice concrete handicap accessible spots available. Newer shower house with flush toilets. Conveniently located beside the town of Leigh. Dump station is located in town.nnUpdate 9/15/2019: New fence installed around the swim beach. Day use shelters are very nice with picnic tables and grills. Perfect for family get togethers or group events.nnUpdate 3/20/2021: When camping visit Steve's Madhouse grocery right next door in Leigh for all your grilling and snacking needs. Home town processed brats, summer sausage and polish dogs.

Beautiful lake, loved the clean restrooms and shower facilities, lots of great access areas for fishing. HOWEVER, the tent camping area is very small and quite a ways from everything. The site says there is swimming available but the swimming area is small, no floatation devices allowed, the water is disgusting and dangerous (a child got a lure in their foot). We are used to swimming in lake water but this was gross slimy and we wouldn't let our kids get in. So if you have a RV and are going to fish/boat only great place. But I do not recommend this place if you plan to swim especially with children.

Very peaceful. Lots of open spots. Clean bathrooms and showers. NO SHADE. NO mature trees. Both 50 and 30 amp. Beautiful trails, nice playground.

litter everywhere. No garbage cans. Moss covers everything cant even swim
