Lafayette Park

Wow after a long day driving looking for RV park pretty early in the season most of them are closed we called here and the owners let us stay for free and use power beautiful park to bad it's out of season I think we would have stayed a few days thank you very much very hospitable, maybe next year!!

This place is awesome! Clean bathrooms, nice sites, adjacent to a park and water. They have a horseshoe pit with shoes you can use! The hosts were the nicest I've ever interacted with. Reasonably priced. If you are looking for a place to relax, in a family oriented environment - this is the spot.

We enjoyed this little campground and taking a short bike ride around Helen Lake into town to Peterson’s Grocery. The caretakers were very sweet and provided a Pony Express newspaper that was fun to read and learn about the area’s history. The only reason we took off one star was that the hookups were on a shared unit with the picnic bench in between making the hoses and electric go across the picnic bench area. A little awkward! :) Since it was just an overnight in our journey it was ok for us but would not have been good for a longer stay.

Great facilities! The train is a little noisy at night, so if you’re in a tent bring your ear plugs.
