Prairie Creek Vineyard & Winery

We heard about Prairie Creek form some friends in Gretna, so my girlfriend and I decided to travel from Lincoln with some friends to see for ourselves. It did not disappoint. Even though the menu is not large, it has quality choices. All three appetizers we tried were great, and I’m sure the rest of them would have been just as good. For the main course I ordered the pot roast and wow, the gravy, the seasonings, it was perfectly cooked. The wine we had with the meal could also not have been better. We sampled 5 different wines before the meal and they were all great, it was a very difficult decision to pick just one. It also turned out the owner had been serving us the samples and he was very nice and respectful of our younger group. Overall, it was a great experience. If this place was in Lincoln it would be a regular stop. That said the small town feel was quite comfortable and relaxing. 5/5!

The midwest haystack is one of the best appetizers I have eaten. Anywhere. Ever.nnI'd come back just for that.nnCentral city isn't huge, and neither is this menu but it's got a great selection of apps and entrees to enjoy while trying out their wines. I'm no wine specialist. I did try like 6 of them though, and they were all pretty dang good.nnThe atmosphere was great, staff was friendly, and it had a bigger city feel to it.nnWe had a caramel apple bread pudding dessert with ice cream and we struggled for the words to describe it's greatness. It was a perfect mix of tastes and textures. These guys know what they are doing.nnIf you're in the area, give this place a shot. You will not be disappointed.

Great dinner

The evening started off a little rough, but they made a few corrections and it ended up being excellent as usual. You can truly get a sense of how good a restaurant is by how they handle adverse situations. Thank you for a great experience.

After a wine tasting to get a feel for our preference, my husband and I had a very enjoyable meal with a couple glasses of wine. Worth the drive and we will be back again.
