Good for a fast and small group visits. The playground is small and safe for little kids. A 4/10 place to have a family gathering. The land is hilly and open space ( not a lot of trees to block the sun).

A nice place to walk around. The grounds are well kept and there is a nice play ground for the kids.nBasketball and Volleyball courts with a baseball diamond for group sports and a fishing dock with a boat launch if you like to fish.nI really enjoy the sunset view and just this week they installed a new bench facing West.nVery peaceful for being within the city.

Only 3 stars because they don't allow night fishing. I get that it's a park n parks are closed after dark for good reason. But there's a public boat launch and fishing dock managed by the MN DNR and is stocked with game fish. The last time I checked u can fish 24/7 365 at those. I have got almost every PB fish from Tanners Lake. Mostly at night. 22 1/2inch 5.5lb Walleye, 23inch 6lb bass and a 13.5inch Crappie to name a few.

Went kayaking there for the first time there and it was nice. For a smaller lake, it was a fun and serene time with my friend.

Nice fishing pier. It was very peaceful fishing and a beautiful lake. Wish the highway noise would have been less, but overall it was enjoyable.
