Tjaden Painting

August 2017 through present. Our story echoes 2 others we've heard SINCE August 2018. Unbelievable experience,if we'd had any hint of this we would N0T have chosen them . I have saved their promises and excuses by text ,pictures of the uncompleted , poor, failed work. August 2018 while STILL giving us promises/standing us up, they ACTUALLY went on a family vacation to FLORIDA and posted pictures on their Facebook site. Shakin'our heads.

They bid our job and took a large down payment of about $3700. Bill planned to come work 3 times and never showed up or notified me of a change in plans. On the 3rd day he put me off all day with excuses about a sick grandma and later that night when we called his phone, his wife told us he was in jail following a domestic disturbance. He never paid us back at all and never did ANY work for us. I would not even consider hiring these people. Terrible thieves.

Downgrading the review to a *1* star. After we left our initial review, they started to again promise that they would come and fix the issues and to finish last year’s job. But each time that they said they would come, they didn’t. One time they said they had the paint on order and would come the next week. They never called to say that they were delayed or why. Then a couple of weeks later they again said that they would come the following Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday, and again, didn’t show or call to say that they were delayed or why. Due to continued promises of coming (again, these promises started in August of 2017) and never showing up, we have decided to downgrade their review to the 1 star. We have also added pictures to show areas where the old paint is showing through. It looks like a simple extra swipe of the sprayer would have taken care of many of these problem spots, as well as catching the parts with a brush where their masking tape covered the old paint. Good luck, if you decide to proceed with these paintersnVery disappointed in their lack of completing a job. We hired them last summer to paint the exterior of our house and things started out very well. There was some bad wood that needed to be replaced and they moved on to other jobs while we had the wood replaced and assured us that they would be back when the repairs were completed. Understandable. But after we finished the repair the beginning of August and called them, we were just given one reason after another why they couldn’t come back to finish the painting. We also found a several sections where they sprayed the paint on very thin so the old color is showing through. I suspect that the job was more than they anticipated because they have not been back to finish even after several calls to remind them that we were waiting, as well as wanting the spotty areas fixed. Nine months later and they still haven’t called to say they are coming back to finish or repair the areas. It just looks like they were going too fast and were sloppy towards the end. Very nice people, but I wouldn’t recommend them for any large painting job.
