As a buyer, we are so lucky to have Doug has our agent. He has always took our best interests in his mind. Not only he charges a significantly lower fee than the market average, but also also helped us avoid a mistake of inexperienced buyer that could have costed a lot more to repair/maintain down the road. He is very selective with the contractors that he uses. For example, the inspector he uses in our case was so thorough (including infrared camera photos) and professional. We are super impressed by his negotiation skills, we could not have negotiated better ourselves.

We moved to the Minnesota from California without knowing much about the region or the market. We found Miller Law from past positive reviews that were posted online. Doug did a wonderful job throughout our process and always felt he had our best interest at heart. We have bought many home over the years but this was one of the best experiences we have had to date. I will gladly use Miller Law in future, and would recommend him if you value your real estate investment.

Doug Miller provided an incomparable experience in real estate. He is not your run-of-the-mill agent! Doug provided legal representation and thorough consultations on each property we saw, helping me identify things that I wouldn't have known otherwise. He did all the legwork before each visit, even searching for permits with City Hall to ensure electrical upgrades were done by-the-books. He offered reason when my heart was tugging me in the wrong direction, helping me avoid paying too much in this crazy market. And he has a much more cost-effective and consumer approach to fees than a traditional retailer taking 3% for their typically underwhelming effort (he refunds more than half of the commission). Even his fee agreement is far more consumer friendly than Realtor agreements. He stuck with me for five months of showings, and led me through closing process. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a fresh, customer-centric model to buying real estate.

When I was first searching real estate attorney reviews I felt a bit overwhelmed by who might be the best fit. When I came upon Doug's I thought for sure they were all written by relatives and friends. He has nothing but 5 stars and there is a very good reason for his excellent rating - the man and his work is beyond stellar! I didn't want to pay the realtor fees so I decided to sell my home myself. What I thought would be a rather daunting task turned out to be incredibly easy all because of Doug. I closed within 2 weeks so Doug had a lot of work to do in a very short amount of time. I had a more unusual sale, but he took care of everything for me and the sale went without a hitch!! Besides being an amazing attorney, he's just a really wonderful and truly caring human being! I saved so much money and I can't believe how hard he worked for his flat fee. He went far above and beyond as far as I'm concerned and I will always refer this man to anyone who needs a real estate attorney. He was also very kind to the buyer, who also was extremely impressed by his service. I can't thank you enough, Doug for all your patience, disrupted weekends and dinners and please thank what must be a very patient wife especially since I called you all hours. You are the very best!! When we decided to sell our house, we also decided we didn’t want to use a “regular” realtor or list it ourselves. We came across Doug’s website while searching for an alternative. We were very happy with his services throughout the process. Doug helped us secure earnest money and monetary damages when an inspector damaged our home in breach of the contract. He took over for the buyer’s realtor when he was hospitalized with Covid-19 and stopped communicating just days before our closing date. And ultimately, we handed over only a fraction of the purchase price in attorney/broker fees, saving thousands of dollars over a “regular” realtor. Yes, we put on our own open houses. Yes, we hired our own photographer and wrote our own property description and staged our own home. But those were things we wanted control over regardless of who listed our property. Doug handled the big things – negotiated better offers for our home, reviewed contracts and gave legal counsel when we needed it. We were grateful to have a patient and knowledgeable attorney on our side.
