Needed storage space short-notice and Tonka Storage was able to work with me and figure out space they had available at the best price in the area. Facilities were very clean and my unit was climate-controlled. Thankfully only needed it for a month and they were great about ending my contract after only a month. If I need storage again in the area, will definitely be contacting Tonka Self Storage.
We stopped by without an appointment and even though the women at the office was very busy she took time to help us by answering questions and showing us a couple units. We rented a unit that was perfect for our needs and budget. I am very pleased that we found Tonka Storage.
Over the phone move in was snappy and easy. Paula was great to work with.
I rented a storage unit here for about 5 years, ending in 2016. I stored a pair of Jetskis, so didn't access in the winter (some have mentioned poor snow clearing). What I can say is the place is relatively close to Minneapolis, very accessible in my experience, and power/light on a timer plus door locks worked as expected. I felt the prices escalated too much year over year for long term tenants, but otherwise perfectly reasonable low services location.
They aren't there during hours advertised on their front door. They don't answer their phone. Terrible communication. Poorly maintained facility. They do a poor job of plowing snow in the winter. Water runs in under the door and pools in the middle of my space. Took my business elsewhere and you should too.nnI see the owners have responded. The question is what are you going to do about the issues I've raised? Step up!!!
