This is not one of those „before and after” fake photos, I am a real person living in Minneapolis.nI am a retired concert violinist and international concertmaster. Among others, I was concertmaster with the Minnesota Orchestra back in the early 70-th after which I held the same position for 25 years in the world’s capital of music - Vienna - with the Austrian Radio and TV Symphony Orchestra.nOn the side, I am also one of the last Holocaust survivors around.nnAfter leaving Minnesota in 1975, my personal life became somewhat less successful and following my retiring, I decided to come back to the Twin Cities in 2004 to start my life anew. That at 64, after 30 years in Europe and without having anything else here to show for besides good memories.nBut good hope prevails, I found a wonderful wife and got my life regulated, but the merciless age kept reminding it’s course.nI had a hip replacement, stent installed, kidney surgery, cataract on both eyes, gastro/intestinal hemorrhage, lens implant and countless visits to the E.R. but when last year started with cortisone shots in every joint, I decided to fight it differently.nAfter buying boxing equipment, I decided to take lessons and in my search, met with Herb Tanton. Somewhat surprised why I’d like to do it at my age, we started once a week private lessons (I was cautious at first of how it would work out). After that period, I decided it would „help” my discipline to commit myself to three times a week if it should bring the desired effect. It was also recommended by my physician who had followed my medical progress.
