Beautiful, unmarked waterfall. Park on 61 at Fall River and walk around the guardrail down an unmarked path to the waterfall. There's a new walking bridge and trail that's not open yet, but looks like it should open as soon as they road is finished. The waterfall is surprisingly big and flows right into Lake Superior. Great place to hang by the beach and look at the rocks along the shore. We hoped to have solitude but there were several other families there too.
Unmarked trail was slightly difficult to find but it looks like there is an official paved trail and bridge in the works. Excited for it to open.
A great stop on an adventurous kayaking tour!
Kayaked here with a Stone Harbor Wilderness tour. We did an out and back trip starting in east harbor and finishing at the falls. Great view of the shore and being on the “big lake”. Loved it!
Cool waterfall. You just have to park on the side of the road by the river and find a path toward the lake. No parking lot, no very official trail, no signs. A true hidden gem.
