Grand Marais Campground & Marina

We had a wonderful 3 night stay at the Grand Marais Campground. The campsites were spacious and the facilities were well kept and clean. Despite being full, the campground was very quiet. It was nice seeing kids playing and people out walking their dogs. We enjoyed walking into town each day and exploring various walking trails along the lake. The campsite did a good job of making clear where and when masks were required and it seemed like all the people there were following the proper procedures for keeping a distance and wearing a mask. Overall, another great trip to Grand Marais.

It's a really big campground close to town. If you are looking for a quiet spot in the middle of nowhere, this is not it. It is an RV park with an excellent view. But there is a nice nature trail, beaches, historical buildings, etc, and you can walk to town! Perfect base camp for outdoor adventures in the area.

We tent camped in late October, so our trip was very chilly! While we were able to overlook the beautiful Lake Superior looked beautiful every morning and night- which made it ud83dudcaf worth it. We did not have a great experience with staff, however.

I’ve been camping up north before, but this was my first time at Grand Marais Campground and Marina. It was a really great experience! The campsites for tents definitely felt like you were in the wildernesses, while offering the luxury of being just a short walk away from Grand Marais. Not to mention they have arguably the nicest camping showered I’ve ever used. If you’re looking for a great place to go camping near Lake Superior, look no further!

This campground is in such a convenient area. It's right on the water and you can literally just walk to downtown Grand Marais. Check in was easy and the bathroon/shower facilities were older but very clean. We will camp here again.
