Seems good so far, the trainers I was given were nice and communicated well. I'm just hoping this specific facility isn't unorganized. I'd like to have consistent work and schedules (and a chance later down the line to adjust my schedule if need be).
To my understanding this amazon facility hired 3rd party trucking company “ Universal” to be their yard drivers. While I was trying to drop a trailer at designated parking slip in a span of 4minutes not one but three of those yard drivers kept moving around me even though I was in the process of 90degree backing. Hello!!! you are supposed to wait until driver in front of you finishes the maneuver
Nice place to work, I just wish they had benefits for part-time employees such as medical, paid vacation time and sick time, however they do offer dental and vision at no cost to the employees and you only get a 10% discount with a maximum of $100 per year I wish they offered a Prime membership for free or at least half off to the employees instead of The 10% discount which most of us don't even use, most of the employees don't even have a Prime Membership because they would have to pay full price for it. UPDATE, as of December of 2019 Amazon now off there part time employees 1hr of paid off time per 20hrs worked and we now offer some fulltime positions as of October of 2020 however, I'm not sure if those positions are permanent or temporary due to Coronia Virus, I guess time will tell.
I really liked working at amazon . There is opportunities to move it to higher positions. All the crew leaders where very helpful and will to explain how to do the job.
Another Amazon site. Good Parr time jobs for college students and people that wants to. Make extra money working 20 per week .
