Hiring Jackie to be my lawyer was a huge mistake! Is there any way to make this a zero or negative star review?!nAt the time I never had a lawyer before and I figured with her firm being close to my house it would be helpful. Boy was I wrong! She never returned phone calls and on the rare occasion I got a call it was usually a secretary calling on her behalf. I was in the middle of a divorce, I had questions and needed help, and she wasn't there for me.nWhen we had court she would always arrive late, was very unorganized, and there was hardly any time for me to review things with her before going into the courtroom. When we talked she usually seemed irritated, like I was inconveniencing her. There was always tension and it was uncomfortable and awkward to try to have a conversation or ask her questions. I never felt like she truly cared. I was just a client that she was too busy for.nI would get charged for things with no receipt or explanation, just her saying it was for this or that with no real detail or proof. I was even charged $5,000 for a trial that never even happened. I paid it up front, we never went to trial and I was never refunded. As a matter of fact, the day that my divorce was finalized Jackie wasn't even there at court with me! I had to go alone because Jackie said that she had other obligations and told the judge she couldn't be there. The divorce papers don't even have her signature! The whole time I felt like I was representing myself. I'm glad that I went that day though because the judge said that if it would have been adjourned one more time she would have thrown it out and we would have had to start over from scratch!nSince then I have found a much better lawyer, Mike Eberth (see his Google page Nichols & Eberth for my review of him). He and I have both tried to contact Jackie to get possession of the files that rightfully belong to me. She has made excuse after excuse as to why she can't get them to us. They are buried somewhere in the office, we don't need them anyway, etc.nJacqueline Theisz is unprofessional, uncaring and you should definitely avoid using her so-called legal services!

Didn't do well with my case at all. I have heard of people getting alimony for the rest of their lives. I got it for 5 years. I am not living the way I was living while married. He is making over a hundred grand a year and I am struggling at 71 years old alone. Not happy with her. He was allowed to rip the TV off the wall when they awarded everything in the house to me. She really didn't do a very good job for me.
