I hired Dawn in February 2015 and Tracy Gibbs was her legal assistant. They both were dishonest. Dawn took double the amount of money that I was quoted and then filed a motion to drop me with the request of my EX to pay her AGAIN. Dawn at first was acting very sincere and I felt that I has chosen the right attorney for a divorce with abuse. I now feel betrayed by her. Dawn not only didn’t turn in photos of my face black and blue , she destroyed the photos. I thought it was odd when she wanted all 6 copies of the same photo. Her reason to drop me was that she had a close relationship with my EX ‘s attorney Arman Velardo , but told the Judge that our client/Attorney relationship wasn’t working out which is completely false. I had been awarded temporary spousal support in June but Dawn nor Tracy Gibbs would turn it in. Finically I called the judges office and friend of the court and it wasn’t until September 15th and Dawn or Armand ? Had changed the dates on the support order so lost approx 3,000 there as I still believed she was helping me and I didn’t know the laws then. Knowing I feared death threats and had just got out of the hospital with the lost of my eye sight in one eye due to Abuse , Dawn obviously doesn’t care . She will take your money and keep asking for more while her assistance just keeps making unnecessary copies of the same paper to make ur file look good. Also she had me fill out in detail with a 2 day deadline 120 questions going back 10 years on taxes and I did it but she agreed behind my back not to use the information that’s was required by the judge. She told the judge I agreeed not to bother with them which included all our assets and of course my spouse didn’t fill out his 120 questionnaire. Then she did nothing about my EX taking the keys out of the lock box so agents couldn’t show it. Dawn acknowledge that my EX took out almost all the money in the 401k and had a real estate friend delete the listing of our house but Dawn did nothing . Dawn was paid over $10,000 and did nothing except ask me for more money and file motions for a different date. She played a good role and I’m sure there are a few clients that won’t experience the awful person she is but this is my story and to be honest it was worse. I do have to say at the time Dawn was working for “IHRIE O’BRIEN in saint Clair shores and I do believe that office had a lot to do with Dawns actions as that’s what she told the last time I passed her in court and she hugged me and said she was sorry??? Short version: my (now) ex-husband said he would hire Dawn if he could go back (he cannot). I always felt like I had the best attorney in the room. I’m satisfied that the best possible outcomes were achieved. She set realistic expectations and exceeded them time and again.nnLong version: Dawn represented me in a high-conflict divorce +custody. She didn’t take action without communicating with me. I understood the risks and opportunities with different actions and why specific choices were being made. I cannot emphasize enough that I have since learned this is not always the case with all attorneys. You do not want to be next to an unprepared, reactive attorney when your life and your family’s future is being decided. If you’re meeting with attorneys, ask them how they’ll make decisions and how you’ll know what’s happening in your case.nnDawn always responded promptly to me (and others) and all communication, including motions and orders, was exceptionally written and well thought out. In-person, Dawn’s pre-work, preparation, and litigation experience were apparent. As I said, I was very satisfied with the outcome but, perhaps more importantly, during the process I didn’t feel like I was just along for the ride. I was able to feel confident that I was making the best decisions possible.nnThe billing practices were transparent and very fair for the level of representation.

I have had several cases with Trish and Dawn this year as opposing counsel. They zealously fight for their client. Their legal research and writing is top notch, they leave no stone uncovered in discovery, and they work very hard to get the best possible result for their client. They are also two of the nicest, kindest, and ethical attorneys I have ever met. Their clients are lucky to have them!
