First off the hostess was very friendly. My mother was in town and I wanted to introduce a new restaurant for change of pace and had heard nothing but good things about this location. We were seated and discussed how everything sounded delicious and saw a few plates go to tables that fit the description, so we asked about recommendations.nI wound up ordering the Friday Fish Fry special, 2 large pieces of battered fish, bowl of slaw, plenty of fries, and a side salad. The fish did have a strong lemon tang but was very good. I am a large guy and can eat more than my fair share and still took approx half of my meal home. Mom ordered the shrimp and grits. I had never had shrimp and grits, but tried a few bites and really like it. According to mom the spin on grits was quite a bit different, more like a grit cake than the creamy style of the South. Regardless it was very good and again the portion left nearly half to take home for later.nnPrice was around $35 with tip, we also each had unsweet tea with our meals.nnI would definitely go back and try some of the other menu items, especially interested in trying their all day breakfast.

I love this place!! Great food! They do not skimp on anything! Service is fabulous! Very clean! There is just this one thing...... I feel like if you are going to be open for breakfast you should open by 6:30am..... many times my coworkers and I have wanted to meet for breakfast and realized Metro Diner doesn’t open until 8am!

Spectacular food! Definitely recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes, they weren't too sweet that you couldn't eat the whole thing. Biscuits and gravy were hearty. Fried chicken tasted amazing! The staff was so friendly too; the owner told us all about the food and how much work goes into is.
