My family and I went for the tubing down the rifle river, we had so much fun! The woman who took care of us was super sweet and gave very clear instructions. Nobody else was around us practically the whole time besides 2 kayakers very briefly passing. It was so tranquil and fun, we had a blast!

We went to troll landing around July 4th and had an ok experience, the owners warned us there was a log jam at the end where we would have to get out and carry our kayaks. We were ok with that as it is part of mother nature. Although, there was another tree down blocking the whole river which made it hard to maneuver, having to stand in the current and lift our kayaks over the tree. We informed the owners and they thanked us and told us they would take care of it.nWell.... we came back a second time a month later and the tree was still down blocking the way causing me to fall off my kayak , hitting my head and having to lift our kayaks again over the tree. When we told the owner AGAIN they acted like it was their first time hearing of it. We understand the big log jam that they originally warned us about, but for Pete's sake clean up the rest of the river its dangerous especially if your bringing little kids.nI thought i would try again but will never be back as they charge 40 dollars and do no river clean up. Only going back to the Whites Livery when kayaking down the rifle!!nFrom reading other reviews sounds like these issues are ongoing!!

The owner is an absolute sweetheart and hard working woman! Definitely will be back when we are up this way. We went 2 days in a row and it was nothing but customer service achievement at every turn.

Our first time kayaking and our first time down the Rifle River. The three hour trip was a beginners adventure. This river offers beautiful scenery and plentiful wildlife. Jumping fish and cranes swooping down to look for fish. We encountered rocky rapids and downed trees that set up a puzzle that required a small amount of perseverance. Bring your water shoes and waterproof phone bag. You might have to get out of the boat. Virtually no bugs on our trip. 5/5 from us for our 6 year anniversary.

I went there with a friend to go on their three hour canoeing trip. Overall the experience was good, they took you up river to a drop off and gave you a canoe, paddles and seat cushions. However, it would be nice if they had a secure place to put valuables during the trip. The staff were friendly and helpful. However you should be warned there is a significant dam which requires getting the canoe or kayak out of the water and carrying it over land.
