I would give this location 0 stars, if I could. I've been on hold for over 25 minutes and before that 18 minutes and then I was disconnected.nI'm trying to transfer my mother's prescriptions from another Walgeen's that is closing. You think their computers could transfer them, but for some reason the prescription numbers must be called in and manually entered. The default option is to let the closing Walgreens transfer her prescription to the nearby CVS. Apparently the closing store can transfer to CVS but not Walgreens. Go figure.nI'm taking the default option.

I shop this location a ton because they're around the corner from my office. However, I typically get all pharmacy needs at the location in Birmingham by my home. After actually dealing with this location's pharmacy for the 1st time, I will choose them as my default location (instead of Birmingham) for all needs - most importantly pharmacy.nnMaureen was proficient, pleasant and truly cared to get my needs addressed today whereas Birmingham stated I had to physically drive there (25 mins each way during a work-day) with prescription in hand to find out if I could get the medications sooner than Monday. That truly shocked me as these medications aren't controlled-narcotics or anything like that. Sometimes a few additional minutes of customer service really matters no matter how busy/overwhelmed you are with your work-load.

Inaccurate hours posted online with pharmacists who don't come to work. Unreliable and inefficient phone service. Currently waiting in a line ten cars long that's chugging along slower than turtle.

My complaints:n1.tMaureen is the pharmacy manager at 7380 Orchard Lake road.n2.tShe will sit on prescriptions from the doctor for controlled substances e.g. Xanax that, in her opinion, are requested too early.n3.tShe has NEVER refilled a prescription for me allowing for the two day grace period on controlled substances.n4.tThe clock for a 30 day prescription starts when I pick up the medicine and not when the prescription is written. This is ridiculous. Suppose I’m out of town and can’t get to the pharmacy immediately when the prescription is refilled?n5.tThere is no notification if the doctor refuses a prescription.n6.tDue to their policies regarding refills on controlled substances, if more information is required, that can take several days for her to make contact with the doctor. During this period, I’m left in the dark wondering what happened or I have to do without.n7.tThere is no notification to the customer if she requires more information from the doctor.n8.tI dropped off a hand-written prescription yesterday 6/3 around 1 pm or so. When I arrived at a little before 9 pm, Maureen said that the dosage was not written on the prescription. And that she had not gotten the dosage information verbally from the doctor therefore she could not give me the refill. I did not receive a notification from Walgreens that there was a problem. I could have easily gotten in touch with the doctor’s office and followed through and resolved the problem.n9.tHer main concern seems to be her license, store policy and NOT customer service.n10.tThis has been a recurring problem at this pharmacy. Last night was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I am transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy not in the Walgreen’s chain.

Very long lines, the cashier tried to charge me items I wasn't purchasing. They rung up the only item I wanted at full price, so I took a picture of the discount posted on the shelf and waited in line for a second time to get the right price. Both cashiers wouldn't honor the discount even though I showed them the picture I had just taken. They wouldn't help at all. Terrible customer service. Go elsewhere.
