Lookout spot wasn't really a lookout. Prettiest spot was probably the bog. Not a trail that speaks out to me given all the beautiful other locations in northern Michigan.
A beautiful trail with a 1 mile loop as well as an offshoot to a bog and an offshoot to a lookout. There wasn’t much to see at the lookout but the bog was beautiful!

Well maintained trail that spans a variety of hardwood trees. The trail is quite wide except in a few places. Many wildflowers. Some elevation. One of our new favorites.
Very unique topography formed during the last ice age. Beech maple forest, maidenhead ferns, bogs in kettlelike depressions. Had not rained for a week, very dry, so very little wildflowers except for wild ramps, Columbine, white baneberry. Lots of up and down. 1 mile Loop at end of trail. Hardly any mosquitoes because so dry, but usually more probably more because of bogs. About 100 yards of open field.
