What started as an experience moving turned into one of the most moving experiences of my lifennMy sister and brother-in-law were expecting their third child and were planning to move to a new home to accommodate their ever-growing family. Instead of hiring a moving truck, they opted to move their belongings in portions themselves with the help of the incredibly convenient and surprisingly affordable Grandville Central Storage. I was helping the two of them move some furniture to a unit with their van and a brother's truck. My sister was very pregnant, but she wanted to drive and the baby was not due for a few weeks, so she came along and told us not to worry.nnWhen we got to the storage facility, the manager was super helpful in answering our questions and directing us to our unit. We began to move the furniture, easily fitting the large sectional couch and tall refrigerator in the expansive space that was provided. It was when my brother, my brother-in-law, and I were taking the piano out of the truck bed that panic struck.nnMy sister had apparently been having contractions, and it was at this time that her water broke. All of her previous deliveries had been fast, so my brother-in-law grabbed his keys and told her to get in the van so that they could get to the hospital ASAP. My sister shook her head, face contorted in pain, and said there was no time. The baby was coming now.nnAll of us were stunned into silence. None of us knew what to do but to have her lie down on some of the sofa cushions. At this time, the manager came by to see how we were getting on. As soon as he saw what was happening, he snapped into action. He sent me to get water from the office, and had my brother-in-law get towels from what we had already stored. He talked my sister through the process and filled us all with the calm that we sorely needed. Honestly, I don't know what we would have done without him. My sister has a new healthy baby boy that she named after the manager, and I will never use another storage facility in West Michigan other than Grandville Central Storage!
