Buckle

I love the buckle jeans, I like many of the brands of shirts they carry. However I absolutely refuse to go to this location again. There is a taller kind of heavyset male employee there that hovers over you so bad, it makes you want to run out as fas as you can without spending a dime. Buckle has always taught aggressive sales tactics that has been destroying their sales (I have actually taken sales courses that use the buckle as examples of what not to do) however this particular employee is by far the worse! I was just trying to browse through some t shirts and he comes up to me and tosses four of his favorite shirts right over the clothing I was looking at. He says they were his favorite but not something I would ever wear so I stopped looking at the shirts I would normally wear and shop for because they were now covered with Chubbs favorite shirts. I walked to another part of the store where he followed me tossing more clothes in my face. I once again walked away and started looking elsewhere where he once again followed and started telling me about hey dude shoes. Now I actually was interested in these shoes, and was one of the reasons I stopped in this day, but Chubbs had annoyed me so bad by this point with his hovering and favorite clothing picks that I just wanted to leave. Out of fear that he would grab a handful of clothing and follow me to my car, I asked him if he could go grab a certain size shoe for me and the second he walked away, I booked it out of the store as fast as I could. I went to another store and purchased some hey dudes where I wasn’t stalked by the staff. Now again, I like a lot of what the buckle sells, so I was hoping this was a odd day. I returned to this store again to see tall Chubbs has grown his hair out a little (maybe trying to alter his appearance from all the people he has harassed to the point of no return?) Either way, I started shopping and noticed he was doing the same thing he did to me to another shopper. They weren’t having it though and told him off. Without skipping a beat, he comes walking over to me and interrupts my shopping and what I’m looking at by tossing clothes over the rack in front of my face. This time I just stopped looking immediately and walked out of the store. I will never return to this location until Chubbs is gone. I have since been to woodland buckle several times and although they all seem to practice the more aggressive sales approach that is ruining the company, none of them were nowhere near as bad as Chubbs at river town. They usually will at least wait until you’re in the dressing room to bombard you with more clothes. But Chubbs doesn’t even give you the chance to look for something you want to try on before pushing you out of the store by cramming stuff you don’t want at all down your face and completely interrupting your shopping experience to the point you go spend money elsewhere.

The jeans used to hold up so well... over the last year I quit buying Miss Me brand because the pockets ripped so easily. I started buying rock revivals thinking they would hold up better and not even a handful of times wearing them the seams are ripping. So tired of paying so much money for poor quality jeans.

Found some nice shoes here but the staff make it feel like I've walked into a ABC Warehouse.nnJust let people shop and stop trying to sell them everything in the store.

Good service deserves to be recognized! I had a very pleasant experience at the Buckle Rivertown Location tonight. I had a great month at work (where I am top salesman) and I felt like I deserved to treat myself a little bit. This is not easy for me as I am very frugal!nnAnyway, it was nice to be approached in a truly friendly manner by Gabby. As I am not well versed in the fashion arena, she actually LISTENED (hard to find nowadays) and helped me out with the perfect pair of shoes, some socks that were so soft they felt like butter, and a very reasonably priced belt! I am excited to wear them to work to start the new month off right.nnI am not a frequent online reviewer but when someone impresses me I always take a second to give them a shout. Most of the really good ones aren’t appreciated enough....thanks again!

The staff is constantly helpful and thanks to them I've found my new favorite style of jeans. There's also a fairly wide selection of good looking clothes and shoes to help you complete your desired look.
