Woodchip Campground

Woodchip has everything you will want for camping year round. The management is very attentive to requests. Well kept lawn and also snow removal during winter. Full hookups available with 30 and 50 amp services.

We did a family weekend in May of 2020 ...the lot was grassy , had lots of stuff of the kids to do...my grandkids loved the hayride and the activities that they had...there...definitely a must go back...campground...people were very friendly...

We just got home from staying 5 amazing days at Woodchip campground. Did you see the word Amazing?!?! We are not avid campers but were offered a camper by a family member. We searched for something close to their home and found this hidden gem. Packed with activities for my 8 and 10yo. This campground was clean, laid back, and full of fun stuff to do. The pool temp was perfect, the kids spent all day outside between the playground, jumping pillow, and pool. It was seriously a fabulous get away for us. Thankyou Woodchip campground for your hospitality!!!

We were visiting family in Grand Rapids for Easter weekend and this was the perfect spot to park our skoolie motorhome and relax for the evening. A large and level slot with easy to access water, electric and sewer utilities. The slot included a picnic table and we took full advantage of the unseasonably warm weather. The free wifi was decent, allowing us to stream some Netflix in the evening. It was not super crowded, which was nice. I imagine in the summer it can get pretty crazy. They cater to families, with lots of kid-friendly activity areas and a nice fenced dog walking area that seemed to be almost an acre. Check-in was easy and no-contact because of COVID and the customer service was friendly and responsive. Very convenient location close to M-6 and only minutes away from downtown Grand Rapids. Had a wonderful afternoon visiting with my sister and nephew. Would definitely stay here again.

I just brought my mom up to spend the day with my sister and her 3 kids who were camping here. They were having such a great time that they decided to spend and extra night. They have a lot of different daily activities for the kids. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very clean. The pool was warm. We had a great afternoon and evening with my sister and her kids.
