Great nature walk. So nice and quiet out there.

Cool place to check out. Period homestead with volunteers showing how things were done back in the day. The main house has been well restored.

This is where history and nature collide! Tour the historic DeLano Farm property, walk the trails, see the farm animals, buy fresh produce at the Market Barn, what can't you do here? Me and the fam went during the Maple Sugar Festival and got to see a blacksmith wield his craft, ride a horse-drawn wagon, watch ladies spin fur into yarn, and learn about living in the pioneer days. DeLano is part of the Kalamazoo Nature Center so if you pay admission for one you pay for both. If you've never been here, I highly recommend that you do.

It was like walking back in time, to actually see how they lived, prepared food, heated their living space, very educational. When we walked the grounds you can feel like you were there back in time.

Love Delano Farms. When the house is open, it is a neat place to visit. The animals are nice. There are trails here. One connects to the main part of the Kalamazoo Nature Center through a tunnel that runs under Westnedge. The Source Pond trail is easy. A great hike for families. The Source Pond is nice. You can see snapping turtles in the water and an occasional snake near the trails. Good trails for running as we have seen people running on the trail during our visits here. Fall Festival, which is one day in the fall, is a lot of fun. You can see how people lived a long time ago. The draft horse carriage ride was nice.
