Scott woods is a great place to walk, bike and be outside. I bring my kids here and we wander around, climb trees, enjoy the fresh air and sunshine and have a good time. It's quiet and beautiful and you can see deer and geese and ducks. Because it's part of the river trail you can get a nice long walk in without getting your feet wet and muddy if you want, or you can go off the trail and explore. We love it here.

Really nice nature trails and paths to walk ride or run, deer are trusting as you can get really close at times. The pathway that leads to Hawk Island around the lake is a great way to enjoy Michigan. If you are really adventurous take the path along the river, through the woods to MSU you must go ..... enjoy!!

Beautiful nature trails lots of deer, turtle, ducks. Lots of benches along the trail. Beautiful Hawk Island

Best dog park in Michigan, period.nIt's huge.nMostly soft ground and safe (be wary or mushrooms, dig up with root, bag and dispose for safety of all mammals in this park).nIt has a teepee made of fallen trees, and great nature trails.nFor free parking, park near Scott Woods park.nFully worth the cost (dog licence fee + park fee)

Lovely little park, limited parking available. Walking path leads to Hawk Island Park, usually a bit busy, paved path and a few bridges.
