Quality is typically a step up from chain options. Usually consistent. My last order was shockingly bad; the dough was stretched too thin to where it actually had holes, the pizza was burnt, light on sauce and cheese, and they skimped on the toppings.nnI’ve seen better quality from Hot N Readys @ Little Caesars. No excuse to shortchange customers paying full price for a large w/ 4 toppings. I worked at a pizza place in high school, and even I wouldn’t have let that pass quality control before serving it to customers.nnThere’s also been issues of them giving out time estimates, and upon my arrival, or even later, found that they were just putting my order in the oven. No other customers present, no other orders awaiting pickup or being made, and three people behind the counter.nnThese are just a few examples from otherwise satisfactory experiences, they just require a bit more consistency in product and service.
The name is very misleading. This place isn't like the chain papa john's. I actually think the pizza tastes better than the chain, as it's generously topped and not super floppy. However the place smells of a strong odor like stale urine or something. It's definitely unpleasant and made me have low expectations right from the get go. I don't think I'll be back.
Papa John's Pizza on East Michigan Ave has been an old family favorite since I was a kid.nAfter serving many years in the military, it was great to come back home to!
Found this place on accident. I just moved to the area. It is a quaint little shop and it smells and tastes amazing. I didn't get a picture because my family smashed. Found a new place we enjoy. :)
Papa johns Lansing is great. You get 12 slices instead of 8 and 12 is more than 8 and more = better.nnPapa johns is the mo’ betta pizza
