Third Street Waterfall Park is located at the western terminus of Third Street, on the Saginaw River. This was the site of the eastern approach to the old Third Street Bridge, which collapsed (with no injuries) in the mid-70s. The park is 'guarded' by a wrought-iron fence. The entry is located on the northern section.nThere is a large fountain (the 'waterfall') in the middle of the park area. Though it may not look very special during daylight hours, at night it's lit up and is a nice, peaceful place to visit. The far end of the park consists of a couple of levels (I'm not sure if handicapped-accessible, but I believe it is). As that section is physically located over the Saginaw River, there is a fence around the edge. However, children should probably be supervised, as a precaution. There are no restroom facilities, and I don't believe there are any drinking fountains. However, there are several businesses located within easy walking distance.nDuring special events (the local Fireworks Festival, or the Tall Ship Celebration), this is a nice area to observe and/or photograph from - offering a nice view both up and down the river between Veterans Memorial Bridge (located up river) and Liberty Bridge (located down river). Generally, during such events, the park will be quite crowded, though. As a side note: on the day following the Tall Ship Celebration, most of the fleet departs, heading toward the next port. At that time, you can get some nice photographs or views of the ships as they leave - and there are normally not very many people crowding the area.

Not sure what to say. Not much bigger then my patio. Not easy to recognize. Next to St Laurent nut and candy store.nPark has 2 chairs and a nice view of the river.
