Went to visit my Granddaughter. I don't camp personally, but they do from Indiana. I live in the area. I felt they were pleased. My 3 year old Great granddaughter especially liked the playground. The sites seemed adequate for their fifth wheel. The campground was booked solid, it felt like people still had their own comfort zone ud83cudf1eud83dudc4dto Big Bend well organized machine. Ray from Standish.

Went here to tube for the day with some friends that were camping. They have very reasonable rates and allow you to bring your own tubes. The young man that drove us to the launch site was very friendly and helpful. He even helped unload our tubes and carried heavy coolers down the embankment to the river for us without being asked. After our trip we visited the store otw out and ended up cheating for 30 minutes. The owner lady was extremely nice and the young adults working there were also. Someone mentioned her having a litter of puppies where food was prepared as an issue. Yes she had a litter of 4 extremely precious English Bulldog Puppies in the store in a playpen in the far back corner behind the counter. The ice cream is in a closed cooler at the counter and the puppies were in no way affecting the quality or contaminating it. Whether you are an animal person or not I found this statement to be harsh and unreasonable. We are animal people and asked about the dogs and were allowed to pet the momma and see a puppy. I’ll definitely book a camping trip with the family here in the future.

This place is very trashy. I counted 6 tents on one site with 4 cars. The dump station was gross with the trash overflowing and old broken dump hoses on the ground. There were about 5 workers just sitting on the porch while all this work needed to be done. There are potholes all over and the equipment to grade the road was parked, but of course they were too busy sitting on the porch. The guys that drive the bus to the launch site were pretty busy throwing water bottles at each other and swearing to help us launch. The launch area needs some work too, but they were way too busy sitting on the porch. Most of the good sites are taken by annual rigs, so you likely won't get a good spot unless you go primitive. On the other hand all of the ladies were nice and the ice cream was good, but I'm not sure they should have a litter puppies were they are preparing food. All this place needs to be a great place is to have the right owners that care about your experience. They need to clean it up and be professional The staff needs some training on how to conduct themselves (Like not stuffing their face without closing their mouth once while they are behind the counter). They need to limit the amount of tents and cars on a site as well.

Great weekend with friendly atmosphere. Lots of people on SxSs and karts waving. Water was a little cool for tubeing but all in all it is a great family camp ground, with well maintained shower house and playgrounds for the kids. Will be setting up a trip for next year.
