Russell Canoe Livery

The rifle river is down water level wise and yet my wife and I had a wonderful 4 hour kayak experience which included 2 bald eagle sightings along with just a wonderful outing with nature on a picture perfect day. There are several canoe ud83dudef6 liveries which are available on the rifle river which we have tried (Riverbend & Whites) but hands down Russell's is the BEST! Thanks for another fun filled summer day!!!

Prices are a little higher than some other places that are within an hour and a half drive. 2 canoes on the 2-3 hour canoe trip on 7/28/20 cost $76 with a $20 cash deposit that was returned after we turned in everything.nnThe river was fast moving, with trees that had been cleared from across the river, and lost of damage to be seen from the recent floods I imagine. There were low spots, but we were never u intentionally beached on any of it. If the river level lowers, that may change.nnIt is a really good time going down the river if you have free time.

This is the best campground/tubing place I have ever been. The workers are the nicest people I've ever seen. The owners are the most helpful people I've ever met. I love this place I highly recommend

I wish I could give this service 0 stars...but google expects at least 1. They call themselves the G.O.A.T (greatest of all time) but really....they are the absolute W.O.A.T. (Worst of all time) I don’t even know where to begin. We called to reserve a tubing trip for the day and was put on hold mid reservation to assist others customers.nnWhen we arrived, 20 minutes before our scheduled time we had to circle the parking lot multiple to find a parking space...next to the tents that is supposed to be a campground. Thank goodness we didn’t camp. ud83dude05 We proceed to walk around trying to chase an employee down to find someone to direct us to the office to pay...couldn’t find a single person. We finally found the office...full of unmasked employees and terrible customer service. After waiting in line we were told that we didn’t have a reservation and proceeded to book us a new reservation...for an hour later. The lady who helped us was nice but could not keep her head on straight. Bouncing back and forth between tube numbers and cash deposit amounts we were finally set. After an hour of waiting we asked an employee if we were going to be put on a bus and the employee rudely told us to wait our turn. Chill Jake. We just want to know if we’re going tubing.nnAfter waiting for over an hour, we were put on a bus, full of unmasked employees and customers. We had multiple people around us also complain about the insane customer service they received.nnYou wouldn’t think it could get any worse but unfortunately it does. Once we arrived at the river it was a complete sh!t show. It was almost like a scene from hunger games. Massive amounts of people thrown into the mountain of tubes fighting their way into the water. There were definitely many “Karen’s” around us letting us know that they were next to get into the river. We ended up taking a small walk down river to jump into our tubes.nnThe float was nice. No employees were involved which really helped.nnNot only was the service terrible but it’s also stupid expensive for a tube.nnOverall. Don’t float with the G.O.A.T. Find somewhere else or buy some tubes and build a river. It will be 100 times better.

Rented tubes for a tubing trip. Easy and seamless. Camping onsite was convenient after.
