Great trail to meander along the river. Parked at the road since the gate is closed in the winter. The walk in from the road to the trail head was ice over slushy footsteps. Stay the left and walk under the big pine trees (all pine needles). Once on the trail, there was better footing. Just keep to the sides of the trail or foot bridges when you come across ice. It's an hour or less, I kept stopping to check things out. It's a nice easy/moderate hike on the river run trail with the terrain up and down along the river and easy hike coming back on the bridal path.
Nice place to walk. The terrain in hilly but the trails are well established. A complete circuit is about 2.5 miles. The trail can be muddy and there are a lot of roots to avoid, so wear appropriate shoes.
A few different trails to take with a good amount of picnic areas. Great little spot! Definitely check out Hamilton house!
