Moderate hike that takes about an hour to go up. There are two trails that are clearly marked at the trailhead. The first is a narrow winding trail through the thick woods that takes you up Little Peaked mountain and then up Peaked mountain, there isn’t much scenery on this trail until you make it to the top. The trail we went on is the Peaked mountain trail which is basically a narrow dirt road. This is good if there are young children in your party as it is easy to stay on track and you always have stable footing. The hike does have a section where the grade exceeds 60%, but not for long. The views at the top are amazing and one can tent up there if they wish to do so. There us a cell phone tower at the top so you are guaranteed superb cellular service on your hike. One of the better hikes that isn’t far from the Bangor area.

Quite a hike to the top, but worth it. This is a great parking spot to get you started. You can drive further up, but the road is rather rough and narrow.

Walking that mountain was totally worth it. The view from the top was breathtaking.

Nice, easy-moderate hike. Beautiful view at the top. **There is no fence at the very steep drop.

Now Known As Peaked MountainnSince most parks are closed due to the COVID-19 virus, I thought I would check out a couple local trails. I am glad I decided to stop here. Since I was not clear where the trails were located (not marked at entrance), I took the old rocky road up to the summit. The summit had many beautiful areas to view, but I truly cannot wait to see them in the fall, or at least where there's more leaves on the bare trees. While on the summit, I did notice blue markings, so I took the trail back down. There were a couple steep areas, but for the most part, it was moderate, until you get to some muddy, mossy, rocky areas near the bottom. It was definitely worth the trip.
