Great trails to get out into the wilderness without having to drive long distances.
Easy trails Lots of wildlife. No dogs.
Hirundo's trails weave around the homes of a plethora of Maine's resident wildlife. I've birded at Hirundo several times and seen a wide variety of species and even when birds are sparse turtles, mink, muskrat, snakes and deer are all likely sights. Quiet and consciences hikers will enjoy nature in abundance at Hirundo Wildlife Refuge.
Beautiful area. Lots of side trails to explore. Plenty of parking. Trails are easy to follow and well maintained.
Great place to hike. They have tons of to choose from. A trail for everything level
