Black Mountain of Maine

Small, flat (for downhill) mountain with awesome uphill and xc opportunities...and an AWESOME vibe!! Our home mountain is Sunday River - what Sunday lacks, Black Mountain of Maine has in abundance! I'll own two season passes next year, just for the uphill and glade experience at Black Mountain!

We had a great time tubing here one Saturday in February. 3 adults and 4 kids, including 3 kids who were just barely 5 years old and were shocked by how much the kids loved it! We really thought the young would be too scared to go on their own but they never even hesitated. Only problem is they are constantly asking us to go back!

Excellent community resource steeped in history. A great place to learn to ski, with trails for all ages and skills levels, world class cross country trails, and even tubing and snowshoeing. Beyond that they offer back country skiing and endless glades if you're up for it. Black Mountain is an affordable, family oriented mountain, that's worth visiting.

i had never been to this ski resort before. the tickets are amazingly priced short lines and lots of different trails to go on. friendly staffnwill most certainly be going again soon!!! and good food to eat too!

It was a small mistake understanding about skis or a board and Dan the guy in the shop gave me attitude I didn't deserve! We had fun overall and did snowboarding and skiing and snow tubing but the only bad experience I had was with Dan at the shop for a minor mistake! So FYI when filling forms out don't make mistakes and my daughters ski didn't fit and my sons binding was missing a link..! So dan at the shop find a better attitude or quit! Everybody makes mistakes and don't need grief for it !
