I haven't purchased a vehicle from here as I'm still in the early stages of looking for a car. I would happily give them my business, though. Someone came out within a few minutes of me looking at the cars. He was very friendly and helpful without being pushy and obnoxious. He answered all the questions I had and asked insightful questions about what I was looking for. He took the info and offered to call when they got something in that matched my needs. He also gave helpful advice about financing. All around an excellent, no pressure, second hand dealership!

If I could write a review of 0, I would! My husband and I bought a 2002 VW eurovan, which we absolutely LOVE, but we have been looking for one a very long time and we know they are quirky, HOWEVER, this dealership is unwilling to fix issues with the vehicle if they are not satisfied with cost of repairs. We paid cash over a period of 2 months, they were asked on different occasions to have things checked out and didn't do anything until the day we made the last cash payment, then cleaned it in their own yard. The o e issue we noticed with the manifold still was not fixed, that was also a 1100 job that we picked up, so fumes did not overpower and suffocate our passengers.nWe were told to take it to a little shop to have it looked at, we were told to put innFuel injector cleaner and that was ALL this dealership would do. This same shop witnessed and reported to the dealership an issue with cylinder misfire, they said they wouldn't help, this was after 2 weeks of owning it. We were stranded with no other car, only to find out the transmission needs a total rebuild! Along with basic things like ball joints, brakes, control arms, CV boots, new fan modules to keep the vehicle from over heating, all totally visible to any dealership, on top of all that, the AC is totally not working, ALL basic Maine inspectable items, or lemon law returnable to dealership items.nPlease, do NOT do business with these guys! If you shop small car dealers, take it to the dealership and have it looked at by someone totally unrelated to the business! No matter how new the car is.nAfter 2 months of ownership, we are now over 16000 into our 7000 van. This can and will happen to you.nThey offer no warranty, but under Maine law you have 30 days from the date of purchase, to have the vehicle fixed to safety and workable standards, which was never honored by them.

Nick was honest and excellent to deal with and I got a great deal on a nice vehicle....would definitely buy from Independent Auto again.
