Very nice and well maintained. I visited this park on first week of April 2021. It looks like it got flooded lately they just cleaned the path for the wheelchair. Access for the wheelchair ramp is on the right side of the information building and the stairs is right behind the building. Many valuable info regarding the ecosystems can be found in the building there is a tour fee. The whole park is designed for easy access for wheelchair ♿ and they provide device for hearing impaired as wellud83dudc42Please do not forget to wear mask!
Scenic Park with great views of Louisville. My family loved spending time checking out the area and searching for fossils. In the park, there are posted signs with information on the different types of fossils you may come across. It was really cool to be able to identify the fossils we found! I wish we would have planned for more time, because there is much we didn't get the chance to explore. My family looks forward to returning one day!
**This for the outside portion only** We missed the museum by 5 minutes and could not enter. The stairs are impassable cleanly. The entire riverfront is covered in debris, garbage, and possible container meth labs. The coral is cool to see but it is dangerous to access with kids. Great place to test balance and effectiveness of your tetanus vaccine.
Largest exposed fossil bed in the United States. Great fun to roam around and explore. Visitor's Center has a gift shop and cool exhibits. Parks and play grounds all over!
I have been here many times with family and friends. This time around, the water was too high to take my son down to see the fossil beds. We were able to walk through the museum portion and enjoy some of the area wildlife and late winter scenes.
