Larry's has been a staple in Plainfield for 30 years. The staff is great and they are long time employees. Larry's is a place where everyone feels welcome when they dine here. Gus is a very gracious host. They give back to the community and have been giving back for years. With service and hospitality like this they will be here another 30 years. The food is good too and the menu has something for everyone.

I was in Plainfield looking for a restaurant to eat at and I seen this little restaurant called Larry’s diner I was hoping to go in there to get nice food. I went with my mother and she got an omelet, she said hers was good and I was still waiting for mine, I ordered a waffle with fruit they brought it out and it looked SO GOOD so I took a bite of a strawberry and they were rotten and so was the other fruit! My waiter did take it back and said sorry and got me a plain waffle but the receipt still made me pay for the rotten waffle! The food is also fairly expensive but that’s okay. I do not recommend going here but I’m giving it a 3 stars because the waiters are very nice.

Been a long time since I ate here last. Not a bad place to go for a good breakfast. Had the corned beef hash and eggs. Coffee was good as was the food. Service was excellent.

Took 30 minutes to order and then get our food when got toast and two skillets. Took other people before us when we were there before them. Rolled eyes at us when we asked nicely for more water.
