This place is nice for meat lovers. 3 out of 4 meals we ordered were spicy and they put a good amount of meat in it. My BF loved everything here but i like vegetables more, so i ordered red bean and rice but there were sausages in the bean so i wasn't a big fan of that. Out of curiosity we ordered a meal with alligator tail and that was delicious. It tasted a little like fish but had a consistency that reminded me of chicken.

We loved Moe Joe’s! We visited this place in Sept after my cousin picked out her wedding dress at a shop nearby. We told the waitress that we were celebrating and she was so sweet about it and congratulated us. She seemed genuinely happy for us and was super wonderful throughout our lunch. We got gator burgers and it was SO GOOD! My favorite part was the bread and brown sugar butter that they put out for us - so delicious and a great experience.

You can always count on Moe Joe's to have incredible food and great service. Lots of made without gluten menu items for those of us with sensitivity. My favorites are the Red Beans and Rice,nJambalaya, Alligator Fricassee, and the Chicken Creole. Bar has a fun atmosphere. My chipotle pineapple margarita was fantastic!

Friendly staff. Waitress was very attentive to me, and checked on me adequately. I tried the gumbo and alligator sauce piquant. I'm from Louisiana, both dishes although not terrible, was definitely not what I would call cajun cooking. I found there was too much hot sauce in both. The gumbo roux was too light, and there was too much rice. May have been a instant roux. The hot sauce took away from the flavor. The sauce piquant was better. Still a little too much rice. It also had too much hot sauce. Remove the hot sauce, use black pepper and a touch of cayenne pepper and it would have been better.

Come enjoy this is a Gem of a place! Quaint little spot in Downtown Plainfield that boasts a great atmosphere accompanied with great food and people. The decor and vibe gives you a true New Orleans French Quarter feel that not only makes it comfortable but also fun! Come with an appetite and enjoy the food....
