Hammel Woods - DuPage River Access

Beautiful scenery. Great views of the water. Very nice trails. A surprisingly large area for it's location.

Great little preserve, sadly the park district does a terrible job maintaining the forest. Widow makers everywhere near trails, dropped trees everywhere, more of a rant towards local politics not providing enough resources to maintain this area. Also the dam is dangerous for those that don't know, people have died their.

Beautiful! So many trails, paved AND off-path. A family fave destination to enjoy creation & feel so nicely away from crazy Life, yet it's not out in the middle of nowhere! Clean. Easy access. Picnic areas. Restrooms. All well maintained. Love it here!

Sunny and populated today, clean grounds and natural and blacktop trails. Color coded trails would be nice for navigation training. F.P. Police patrols keeping the parks clean as well
