Accelerate Indoor Speedway & Events - Chicago

Took 3 hrs before sitting down a car....

Visited accelerate go kart track to kick off my road trip and I'm happy I did! All the staff were very kind and informative, and the process nice and smooth. Only reason this isn't a 5 star is because some of the karts I raced with were not able to sustain the full length of the race. But overall, I'm very happy I stopped in for a few races! Thanks accelerate :D

I came in with my son in law and 2 grandsons and it was a blast. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The process was smooth and very organized.nThis was a great experience and we will be coming back for more fantastic racing fun. It was fun to be a kid again !!

This place used to be really fun to go to but over the years its gotten worse and worse. I'm spending on average 45 minutes for a race and after the wait the workers don't even give us full power. What is the point in paying 50 dollars to drive around 20mph? Definitely not coming back and finding a new place that doesn't limit how fast I can go.

Came here for the first time today with a friend and we had a fantastic time! The young lady who checked us in was very pleasant and patient with us through the registration process, then explained how everything worked via an iPad. The go-karts scoot along nicely and handle well, particularly along the hairpin turns. You can really feel it kick in to high gear at times and I loved being able to get it up to a pretty decent speed as I floored it along the straightaway. The main guy who flagged and made sure we were all set to race (I think his name is Tom Doyle) was very good. He even took care of a situation for us which was really impressive. I also like how you have the reporting sheets after each race, and the racer's picture as well as the car number to follow along, thereby allowing for efficiency. I would say the only negative was the number of times we had to stop. I realize there are participants of various skill levels and safety is a priority. It just seemed the remote control imposed speed limit was on quite a few times which kept us from speeding it up as much as we would have liked, thus putting a drag on it. All in all, an excellent experience. I've always enjoyed go-karts, but the electric mechanism (no nasty exhaust fumes) and the speed at which you can race, as well as the indoor arrangement to offset poor weather is a super idea. We'll be back and will tell others.
